Shape Corp. opens Alabama facility
Shape Corp.'s grand opening in Tanner, Ala.
Shape Corp. has opened a second facility in Alabama. Located in Tanner, the 202,306-sq.-ft. plant is expected to create more than 100 jobs in the next year.
The facility produces lightweight aluminum and steel crash management and structural components for automobiles. In addition to aluminum and steel welding, the plant will offer roll forming capabilities. The existing plant in Athens, Ala., will continue to specialize in plastic injection molding.
Based in Grand Haven, Mich., the company employs 4,200 people across 14 manufacturing plants and five tech centers worldwide.
