Feintool expands in Tennessee

Feintool continues to expand to meet customer demand for next-generation hybrid-capable transmissions. The $35 million, 47,000-sq.-ft. expansion is a 25% increase in space at the company’s Nashville, Tenn., facility, making room for a 1,600-ton direct servo transfer press that will go into service in Q1 2025.

“The expansion will create up to 50 new jobs to help meet demand for automotive transmissions, hubs, clutch baskets, and gear spiders,” said Dan Swiger, vice president and general manager, Feintool Tennessee.

Additional presses and capabilities include two new 880-ton fineblanking presses, CNC lathes, laser welding, parts washers, and other secondary equipment.
