SMS Meer to supply pipe mill for Corinth Pipeworks
Corinth Pipeworks, Athens, Greece, has signed a contract with SMS Meer, Germany, for the supply of a JCOE® large-diameter pipe mill for longitudinally welded pipes. This investment expands Corinth’s product line to help meet demand for high-strength pipes for oil and gas extraction and transit.
The new mill can produce longitudinal SAW pipes with ODs from 18 to 56 in., wall thicknesses up to 1.57 in., and pipe lengths up to 60 ft. in high-strength steel grades up to X100. The annual capacity will be 400,000 tons.
