Pat Mooney Saws marks 75 years in business

Addison, Ill.-based Pat Mooney Saws is celebrating its 75th anniversary. Founded in 1949 by Patrick J. Mooney, the company introduced the first European-style miter band saws, as well as high-speed thin kerf carbide saws, to the U.S. and was one of the first companies to offer high-speed steel cold saw blades.

Today, the family-owned business is operated by the third- and fourth-generation lineage of Pat Mooney. Its 60,000-sq.-ft. facility houses service engineering and technical offices; a circular saw sharpening and service center; a training and demonstration room with powered saws; a warehouse for metal sawing machines, saw blades, and spare parts; a band saw blade welding center; and a fabrication and assembly shop for material handling equipment.
