Bulldog Steel Fabrication adds fiber laser system
Bulldog Steel Fabrication, a supplier of steel fabricated parts and components, has added a Mitsubishi Electric GX-F series 2D fiber laser processing machine to its manufacturing facility in Madison, Ga.
The dual-axis lasers deliver fast cutting, while the stable processing of the energy beam control helps ensure optimal performance and quality, the company states. The system features intuitive controls with automatic sheet detection and remnant utilization to help minimize wasted material. Real-time tracking of electrical and gas consumption with predictive maintenance technology helps improve energy efficiency.
“A major benefit to Bulldog Steel is the GX-F gives us the potential to tap into other growing metal cutting markets like aluminum, brass, nickel, stainless steel, galvanized, cast iron, tin, and copper,” said Carlin Thomas, president.
