Rigid chain product extends telescopically to 60 ft. for pipe ID inspection
- April 28, 2014

- Testing and Measuring
Serapid Inc. has developed a new version of its telescopic rigid chain product for use in pipe inspection and processing applications. Its ability to extend telescopically allows it to extend 60 ft. or more through the inside of pipes at speeds of 100 FPM or more.
The rigid chain has an open loop, locking link, and compact storage. Large support rollers extend below the level of the link plates to keep the chain slightly above the pipe’s ID, helping to prevent surface wear or damage.
Typical pipe-related applications include ID size check, scarf removal, assembly assist, deburring, and part placement.
