Double-cut shears cut metals without distortion
- July 29, 2015
- Product Release
- Shearing
Kett Tool’s KL-200 double-cut shears deliver precision cuts in cold-rolled mild steel up to 18 ga. and most grades of stainless steel to 20 ga. at speeds up to 300 IPM. According to the company, the shears cut without warping or bending the original material or the finished piece.
The dual blades transfer distortion produced in cutting to a small 0.21875-in. waste strip, leaving behind material edges that are not hardened or burred. The blades’ swiping action also seals edges of coated metals. The shears follow a scribed line, capable of cutting a radius as small as 6 in.
