BLM GROUP’s Active Tools help enhance tube laser performance

BLM GROUP USA has added its patented Active Tools technology to its line of tube lasers. This technology helps the machines adapt process parameters automatically. Each feature is designed to help the operator and keep the laser tubes producing parts as fast and effectively as possible, the company reports.

Active Focus, Active Speed, and Active Marking are standard on all the manufacturer’s tube lasers. The availability of the other tools—which address piercing, cutting head oscillation, scanning for bow and twist in tubes, weld seam detection, and automatic loading of custom sections like aluminum extrusions and rolled formed shapes—varies depending on the model.
