BLM GROUP’s automated material storage and retrieval systems designed for tube lasers

BLM GROUP USA has introduced a new automated tube storage and retrieval system that integrates with its tube laser systems using cassettes that can be loaded directly inside the machine.

The storage system automatically retrieves the correct material, brings it to the machine, and automatically loads it. When a job is complete, the system automatically removes the used cassette with any remaining stock to be placed back into the tower. The system automatically checks the stock level and updates the warehouse management software.

For additional flexibility, the manufacturer offers a second retrieval system style for use with a central warehouse. With this system, the desired bundle is extracted automatically from the storage tower and staged near the machine in a queue for either crane or forklift loading.
