Verisurf introduces ultrasonic thickness inspection with Renishaw probe

Verisurf Software Inc. has announced support for the Renishaw RUP1 (REVO ultrasonic probe) in the upcoming Verisurf 2024 software release. The probe measures metal parts from 0.039 to 0.787 in. thick with an accuracy of 0.0004 in. on parallel surfaces and 0.0039 in. on wedged surfaces with an angle of up to 10 degrees.

Using the Dynamic Surface Points tool, Inspection Plans within the software now incorporate ultrasonic thickness measurements. These measurements are stored and presented through a graphical balloon, providing recipients of the report with a thickness map associated with the inspected component.
