TRUMPF gripper simple to set up for automated bending processes

TRUMPF has introduced a multigripper for automated bending processes. Up to 12 of the vacuum grippers can be fitted to the company’s BendMaster robotic arm. This allows the arm to remove a workpiece from the stack, move it within the bending cell, and then place it on the stack of finished parts.

All necessary adjustments for the multigripper can be made at the system level, which reduces the time needed to set up the bending cell, making it suitable for small-batch production.

The gripper is available in a small size for the transport of workpieces up to 13 lbs. and a medium size for workpieces up to 114 lbs.
