The GoFa collaborative robot welding cell from ABB is designed to work alongside humans to automate processes involving heavy loads and long reaches and help workers with repetitive, ergonomically challenging tasks.

Intelligent sensors in each joint bring the cobot to a stop in milliseconds if they sense any unexpected contact, allowing the cobot to work safely side-by-side with humans without the need for fences.

According to the manufacturer, users do not need to rely on robot programming specialists; they can operate their cobot within minutes of installation without special training.
