TECHNI Waterjet acquired by GMM SPA

TECHNI Waterjet, Lenexa, Kan., has announced that a majority of the company has been acquired by Italy-based GMM SPA. With locations in the U.S., Asia, and Australia, TECHNI manufactures waterjet cutting systems for the metals, composites, glass, and stone industries.

GMM is a CNC saw manufacturer with multiple locations in northern Italy, Asia, and North America.

The two companies will merge their North American operations into one facility in Charlotte, N.C., beginning Feb. 1, 2019. The facility will offer demonstrations and testing, with a large training and technology center and increased inventory of spares and machines.
