Schuler and AutoForm partner to help increase press shop productivity through digitalization

Schuler and AutoForm are collaborating to share their expertise and develop new digital press shop systems, helping users to eliminate the gap between simulation and the press shop.

Combining AutoForm’s Digital Twin finite element-based simulation technology, which enables users to engineer and design robust stamping processes, with sensor data generated by the press, users can determine optimal control parameters for each stamped part. These control parameters then can be transferred to Schuler’s Digital Suites software so that the full range of the press adjustment capabilities can be applied to control the production process.

The collaboration is intended to allow stampers and automotive part producers to employ real-time press line control strategies, taking them one step further toward zero-failure production.
