Bobcat invests in energy-efficient press technology from AP&T

Bobcat Co., a manufacturer of compact equipment, has increased the production capacity at its Gwinner, N.D., facility, with the addition of a highly automated AP&T tandem press line. It includes a servohydraulic press and automation.

According to the manufacturer, the press is 70% more energy efficient than a conventional AP&T hydraulic press. It also enables the pressing of more intricate and complex designed parts and offers shorter cycle times.

The company expects the line to more than double press production capabilities, while lowering noise levels.
