Talkin' Shop with Metal Shop Masters: Episode 4, Seven Bailey

In the fourth episode of our seven-part Talkin' Shop series interviewing contestants from the Netflix show Metal Shop Masters, we speak with metal fabricator, AWS certified welder, welding inspector, educator, and artist Seven Bailey of Minneapolis.

Bailey opens up about their more than 20-year career as a metal-fabricator, collaborating on large-scale art instillations (Nimbus in downtown Minneapolis, the fist at George Floyd Square, and the Mothers of Gynecology Monument in Montgomery, Ala., to name a few), and advocating for more diversity in the manufacturing industries. They also talk about their short but memorable time on Metal Shop Masters and the importance of representing the LGBTQIA+ community on a show about that trades.
