Waterjet cutting machines feature updated linear-drive systems

OMAX® Corp. has introduced the next-generation MAXIEM® waterjet cutting machines. Now categorized as JetMachining® centers, the five models feature updated linear-drive systems, a Z-axis core with optional multiaxis cutting heads and a low ceiling height, fast cutting speed, streamlined abrasive hopper design, and self-leveling base legs.

The machines’ Intelli-TRAX™ linear-drive system uses brushless servomotors, integrated servo drives, and linear encoders that provide continuous feedback on the actual cutting head position.

The new Z-axis core is equipped with a precision MAXJET® 5 nozzle. This revamped universal design with an updated modular head interface features 12 in. of controlled height travel.
