100-HP direct-drive waterjet pump delivers 30 percent more power to nozzle

OMAX® Corp. has introduced a 100-HP, ultrahigh-pressure direct-drive pump with EnduroMAX® technology. The pump delivers JetPower at the nozzle that equals current 135-HP intensifier designs, according to the manufacturer. This increase creates a powerful abrasive stream for fast cutting speeds and high productivity, as well as reduced wear and maintenance, the company reports.

Using variable-frequency drive technology, the pump uses less electricity and up to 75 percent less water than an intensifier pump, the manufacturer says.
