Thread table positions material in and out of threading machines

Brandt Engineered Products Ltd. offers a thread table that integrates with the big-bore lathes used to produce API and premium threads on tube and pipe in production applications. The table positions material in and out of these threaders quickly.

The thread table uses adjustable stops to position one pipe at a time. It is designed with four independent idler rolls that absorb vibration while the pipe is spinning during the threading process. The rolls help reduce unwanted pipe movement at multiple locations along the table's length. In addition, containment rolls dampen the whipping motion of the pipe, allowing the threading machine to produce threads on the end of each pipe with accuracy.

Pinch rolls are used at the head of the thread table to protect the machine tool and improve position control, while elevating V-rolls enable various-diameter pipes to be fed into the machine tool at the proper elevation. Twin lead ball screws have been added to the pinch roll assembly to help improve pinching consistency and position control.
