UV-A LED flashlights suitable for NDT inspection
Spectronics Corp. has introduced the OPTI-LUX™ 365 series UV-A LED flashlight, designed for NDT inspections. High- and standard-intensity versions are available, each with or without an internal black light filter. The black light filter reduces the output of wavelengths longer than 400 nm.
The high-intensity versions produce a nominal steady-state UV-A intensity of 10,000 µW/cm2 at 15 in. The standard-intensity models produce a maximum UV-A intensity of 4,500 µW/cm2 to address aerospace industry concerns.
All of the flashlights meet ASTM UV-A wavelength and intensity specifications for FPI and MPI.
