Combined saw/drill unit designed for railroad industry

Advanced Machine & Engineering Co. (AME) offers the Amsaw R series saw, designed for high-production cutting of high-alloy rails for the railroad industry.

Features include a saw blade changeover time of less than 3 min., hardened spindle gears ground for minimum backlash, a blade guide and dampening device for blade stabilization, and dry operation.

An electronic overload device monitors cutting performance and stops the saw feed when necessary. The heavy machine base is ribbed and braced for rigidity. A chip conveyor conveys chips to the rear of the machine and into a tote box.

The saw can be combined with an integrated or inline rail hole drill machine for bolted joints at the rail ends or with infeed and outfeed material handling systems.
