Vertical lathe provides stable cutting in small footprint

Okuma has introduced the V760EX vertical lathe, an update to its V60R model. The new version provides a larger work envelope in the same footprint, allowing for an additional 4.33 in. in workpiece height and an additional 5.91-in. maximum turning diameter.

The lathe provides stable, high-precision cutting in a small footprint and is suitable for machining thin and odd-shaped workpieces. Its box way system, base, and column provide a rigid structure. The headstock has flange construction, including precision, hand-scraped mounting surfaces to help minimize the effects of thermal deformation and vibration.
