Laser system upgraded

Universal Laser Systems Inc. has added a new laser platform, along with other upgrades, to its XL series of industrial CO₂laser processing systems. The new platform can be configured to provide 400 W of air-cooled laser power.

The system features oversized processing fields, easy integration, and advanced stand alone job management capabilities. Two models are available—the XL-9200 which features a 36- by 24-in. processing field, and the XL-12000 configured with a 48- by 24-in. processing field. Both accommodate a range of materials and are designed to meet demanding industrial applications.

Users can store and run thousands of jobs on the systems' 40-GB hard drive, without connection to a host PC, and change, store, or restore any job parameter on the fly. It also allows for the preview of job files on the color LCD screen, as well as displays the status of each job as it is running.
