Sanding discs remove six times more stock than regular discs

Walter Surface Technologies has updated its Coolcut XX sanding discs. They feature a blend of abrasive grains, as well as bond and cooling agents. The 4.5-, 5-, and 7-in. general-purpose sanding discs feature Cyclone™ self-sharpening grains, which provide six times more stock removal compared to regular sanding discs, according to the manufacturer.

Featuring a flexible cross-center design on all 4.5- and 5-in. discs for simplified mounting, the discs are suitable for sanding and finishing of stainless steel and alloys, weld removal, and grinding. The 7-in. sanding discs are preformed to fit on the manufacturer’s Turbo backing pads without warping. Ribbed backing provides added heat dissipation.

The orange cooling agent helps prevent burning and distortion.
