Tapping fluid withstands severe operations
JTM Products offers TapRite™III tapping fluid for tapping and threading applications in ferrous metals. According to the manufacturer, the fluid provides increased tap life and excellent lubricity in steel alloys and other severe uses, as well as mild steels.
The chlorinated oil/wax gel concentrate clings to the tap, yet is simple to remove from parts and hands. Available in 16-oz. bottles and 1- or 5-gal. pails, it can be used straight or diluted with mineral oil or spirits for less demanding applications.
