Stewart EFI expands manufacturing capabilities with new press

Stewart EFI LLC, Thomaston, Conn., has added a 200-ton Minster press with a transfer mechanism to expand its offering of metal stamped and assembled precision components.

The press allows the company to produce deep-drawn parts up to 5.875 in. deep and blank diameters as large as 8 in. from metal strip up to 0.125 in. thick.

The company's capabilities include deep-drawn, progressive, and slide-formed metal stampings; wire forms; automated and secondary assembly; and plating and metal finishing. Primary markets include automotive, electrical, electronics, consumer, industrial, defense, and medical.
