Robinson Helicopter adds Avure fluid cell press

Robinson Helicopter Co., a manufacturer of civil helicopters in Torrance, Calif., has installed a fluid cell press from Avure Technologies, Columbus, Ohio, for component production.

Suitable for low-volume, high-quality sheet metal forming, the model QFC 0.7x1.8-800 Flexform™ fluid cell press features rectangular trays measuring 27.5 by 72 in. The press is used primarily for the forming and production of structural and reinforcement sheet metal components for the company’s helicopters. It also is used for rapid parts prototyping in new helicopter model development.
