Amanda Mfg. breaks ground on expansion in Ohio

Amanda Mfg., a Deshler Group metal forming company based in Logan, Ohio, has broken ground on a $5 million expansion and renovation of its facility. The 130,000-sq.-ft. building will expand by nearly 40 percent, with 54,880 additional square feet of manufacturing plant space and a 14,000-sq.-ft. office expansion and new facade.

The expansion, expected to be completed in spring 2016, will allow the company to offer additional engineering and design services and tube forming, and to increase its use of lightweight, high-strength steels. The manufacturing floor will be designed to be more conducive to observation, training, and efficient work flow.

The company develops and manufactures cold and technical formed rod and stamped assemblies for FORTUNE 500® and 100® automotive customers and suppliers.
