Schrock Metal announces expansion
Schrock Metal Products, a metal fabricating company in Akron, N.Y., has completed a two-phase expansion.
The company has added 12,000 sq. ft. of space to accommodate a fully automated Amada high-speed, linear-drive, 4000-W flying-optic laser cutting system. It also has installed Amada’s FO 4020NT automated load/unload system.
The machine automates and streamlines the setup and production change process with no operator intervention, allowing the company to more than double its capacity with 44 integrated storage cassettes of material readily available.
The company also added a new truck entrance and bays to the facility to help streamline delivery.
