GSM Industrial receives ASME certification mark and National Board "R" stamp

GSM Industrial Inc., a custom metal fabricator and installation contractor based in Centerville, Pa., has received the ASME "U" Certificate of Authorization, allowing it to apply the ASME certification mark and "U" designator as required to pressure vessels and parts that it fabricates.

The certificate indicates that the company's design, material, fabrication, testing, examination, and documentation are completed in accordance with the requirements of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII Division 1.

In addition, the company has received the National Board "R" Certificate of Authorization, giving it authority to apply the "R" code symbol stamp to pressure-retaining items, previously manufactured in accordance with the ASME code or other original codes of construction, that have been repaired or altered by GSM in accordance with the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC).
