Tyco Fire Protection Products wins two awards at 2013 National Slag Association Conference

Tyco Fire Protection Products (TFPP), Marinette, Wis., has been recognized with two awards — Allied Member of the Year, and Best Practices — from the National Slag Association (NSA).

The Allied Member of the Year recognizes the company’s work in total fire suppression systems for the slag and metal processing industries.

“We worked directly with the slag market to create a custom vehicle fire school class that addressed the life safety needs specific to the industry,” said Kevin Siler, global business development manager, vehicle systems, Tyco Fire Protection Products.

The Best Practices award recognizes the company’s efforts with Tube City IMS, provider of on-site, industrial mill services for global steelmakers. TFPP helped Tube City IMS standardize its vehicle fleet service across more than 70 locations globally by providing portable education and training.
