Ashland Aluminum updates Michigan facility

Ashland Aluminum has updated its facility in Fowlerville, Mich., with new electronics, gauge controls, and environmental upgrades to the mill. A new furnace also has been commissioned with new electronics for tighter temperature control for energy efficiency.

Processing equipment includes a cold-rolling mill, annealing furnaces, and slitting lines. The plant provides coil in three alloys–1100, 3003, and 5052–in thicknesses from 0.010 to 0.190 in. and widths from 4.00 to 20.00 in.
