Terex to relocate overhead crane production to Oklahoma

Terex Corp., Solon, Ohio, has announced it will relocate production of its Demag brand overhead cranes from its current Houston location to a newly upgraded facility in Oklahoma City, Okla. The move more than doubles the company’s crane manufacturing capacity.

“Our sales and service teams in Houston, Dallas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana are unaffected and continue to provide local support to our customers in these markets,” said John Paxton, vice president and general manager.

The company invested $40 million to upgrade the 700,000-sq.-ft. facility in Oklahoma City, which currently manufactures aerial work platforms, construction cranes, and material processing products.
