Bostik inaugurates R&D center in France

Bostik has opened an R&D center for adhesive materials in Venette, France. It focuses on upstream R&D to develop new polymers for smart adhesives, especially in polyurethanes, polyesters, and silyl-modified polymers; downstream R&D to develop adhesives based on two core Bostik technologies — hot melt adhesives and elastic adhesives made from reactive elastomers; and pilot demonstrations designed to test the application of bonding products in full-scale simulations.

The facility, which employs 105 people, is designed to develop products for the industrial, construction, and consumer adhesive markets.
