Lincoln Electric announces staff appointments

The Lincoln Electric Co., Cleveland, has appointed Frank Armao as director of aluminum welding technology. In this position, he provides leadership in aluminum welding customer support and applications engineering insight. He collaborates with the aluminum welding technology teams at the company's headquarters and at company subsidiary Indalco Alloys, a producer of aluminum wire products in Ontario.
Armao has been with the company for 13 years. He serves as chairman of the AWS D1(G) Aluminum Subcommittee and is a member of the D1 Main Committee and the Aluminum Association Technical Advisory Panel on Welding and Joining.
The company also has promoted Bruce Chantry to director of marketing, North America. He oversees industry segment management, product management, advertising, web development, creative services, events, tradeshows, and celebrity endorsements.
Chantry has been with Lincoln Electric for 17 years. Before assuming his new role, he spent four years as a portfolio manager for welding equipment and served as product manager for advanced welding equipment. He also previously served as a regional manager for the company's Sub-Saharan Africa region and spent time in the company’s Moline, Ill., and Grand Rapids, Mich., sales offices.
Chantry is a member of AWS and serves on its standing committee WEMCO - An Association of Welding Manufacturers.
The Lincoln Electric Co. designs, develops, and manufactures arc welding products, robotic arc welding systems, fume extraction equipment, plasma and oxyfuel cutting equipment, and brazing and soldering alloys.
