rolling bolsters

 noun

Definitions

  1. Presses equipped with rolling bolsters usually have two bolsters which are moved in and out of the press by means of tracks. While one bolster is in the press running one die, the second bolster is available for setup outside the press, effectively reducing the time lost due to setup to minutes (less than an hour) rather than hours.
