Fume and particle extraction systems are important in many laser surface treatment applications. When lasers are used without these devices, residue can accumulate on the laser's optics, resulting in power loss and decreased performance. Extraction systems protect the laser's optics from power-robbing contaminants and help eliminate potentially hazardous vapors and dust.

The extraction systems' features include high-vacuum capacity and maintenance-free turbines, adjustable airflow, digital controls, and monitoring systems with separate filters for particles and fumes. A SUB-D9 interface enables external control, and separate HEPA and activated carbon filters combined with special prefilters specific to each application are also included.
