Scotchman Industries Inc. offers the Almi AL150 abrasive pipe notcher/grinder for high-production applications such as notching gas pipes, steam pipes, and stainless steel pipes. Suitable for double-corner joints, it helps ensure the correct cope is achieved for welding at an angle. The machine can notch pipe between 90 and 30 degrees.
The user places a pipe in the clamp, which is mounted on a compound carriage, and grinds the pipe to the desired angle. Operating at high speed, the grinder machines stainless steel sections without burrs or heat discoloration. The grinding roller and grinding belt change quickly without tools.
