Inc. Magazine named LAI Intl. Inc., Scottsdale, Ariz., a provider of contract manufacturing services, to its inaugural list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the country. The magazine ranks companies based on revenue growth from 2003 through 2006.
LAI's revenue jumped more than 76 percent in the last three years, the company reports. Earlier this year it acquired Rich Technology Intl., a contract manufacturer in New England, creating a combined company of 240 employees and offering growth potential in the aerospace, medical device, and power generation markets.
LAI supplies components and subassemblies for OEMs internationally. The company operates four manufacturing facilities in addition to Rich Technology: LAI East, Westminster, Md.; LAI Midwest, Minneapolis; LAI Southwest, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Southwestern Laser, Tucson, Ariz.
