Adhesives bond aluminum, steel, galvanized metals to substrate

Henkel Corp. offers seven kinds of its Loctite® Speedbonder™ structural adhesive that bonds aluminum, steel, and galvanized metals to a variety of substrates, including plastics and composites.

The H4720™ adhesive provides environmental resistance on a variety of metals. The H8000™ fixtures in 10 to 15 minutes and offers high impact and peel strength on aluminum surfaces. For high-strength steel bonding, the H8500™ provides a short open time, while the H8510™ supplies an extended open time for parts alignment. The H8600™ is specifically formulated for long-term bond strength on galvanized steel and offers robust bonds to many other metals exposed to extreme environmental elements.

Two general-purpose adhesives are also available. The H3151™ provides 35 to 40 minutes of open time for part adjustments and high bond strength on aluminum and steel. The H4500™ is a fast-setting, high-strength formula with a 10-minute open time for general metal bonding.
