Cortec adds extrusion line for specialty film production

Cortec has installed a multimillion-dollar co-extrusion line at its Cambridge, Minn., plant. The new equipment will allow the company to increase the production volumes of co-extruded, corrosion-control films, stretch wraps, and bags.
The line can extrude tubing up to 75 in. wide and sheet up to 150 in. wide. According to the company, the upgrade will increase capacity to 40 million lbs. of products.
